A little MJ’s History.
Mad Jake’s was purchased in August of 2009 under the name/contest : nameourpub.com What a fun idea hey? Yes we ran a contest letting our customers and the general public “name our pub” we had almost 900 entries!! It was crazy fun reading all of them and narrowing the search down to…Mad Jake’s Pub & Grub. Runner up was “The Pickle Barrel” and most entered choice was “7-12″ hahah yes because we are located next to 7-11-classic!!!
We enlisted the help of Blair at Absolute Signs here in Medicine Hat to create us a fabulous logo and thus the Mad Jake’s “Angry Smiling Dog” (our bulldog) was born. We couldn’t of asked for a better logo! Hats off to you Blair!
Our number one goal is customer satisfaction. We try and include our customers opinions in almost every choice we make. It all started with having our customers name the pub, that opened this huge area where we could let them have a say in almost everything. What a cool concept! Our customers have gave us tons of great menu ideas and drink specials, Ever hear of our ‘Dog Pound’? that’s a customer request! you wanted more TV’s, you got it! You wanted us to bring in dart league…done! STREET HOCKEY TOURNAMENT…what an awesome customer idea!! We even got you to vote on what NHL team we should cheer for in the Stanley Cup Playoffs! ( GO BRUINS 
You know what Medicine Hat?? we love and appreciate our customers and we listen to what you want! There isn’t too many places in town where you can get a can of old Milwaukee – but a customer asked, and we delivered! We even let our most prized customers choose how many and what size flat screens we should put behind the bar, a wise choice too! Thank you!!!
Why do we ask you what we should do? Because we want our pub to be your pub, simple as that! We strive for the best service in Medicine Hat with high quality dining featuring a full menu and loaded bar (no pun intended).
